Full Terms & Conditions

By entering into the prize competition, entrants accept and agree to be bound by the present Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

Please retain a copy for your information. Please note nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts the participant's statutory rights as a consumer, for further information relating to these statutory rights please reach out to ireland@priceless.com.

Eligibility

  1. This prize competition is open to Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over, holding a Mastercard card, excluding employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. The prize competition will run from 11/01/2024 to 23:59 on 18/01/2024 inclusive (“Promotional Period”). Any entries received outside the Promotional Period will not be accepted.
  3. Internet access required and entrants must have an active Instagram account. If you do not have an account you will need to create one in order to participate – you will require an active email address in order to do this. No purchase necessary.
  4. Only one entry per cardholder will be counted, regardless of the number of Instagram comments made during the Promotional Period. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details including but not limited to creating multiple Instagram accounts will be disqualified from this promotion. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups or third parties entering on behalf of someone else will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that participant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  5. By submitting an entry to the prize competition, you understand and agree that you are providing information to Mastercard. You accept that this information will be retained for up to 3 months after the prize has been fulfilled. This information will be processed in accordance with the campaign specific Privacy Notice.
  6. Entrants who provide false details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
  7. Numerous factors outside the control of the Promoter may interfere with the operation of Instagram. The Promoter does not therefore guarantee continuous uninterrupted or secure access to Instagram.
  8. The entrant entering the promotion must be the owner of the Instagram account used.
  9. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.

Entry Requirements

  1. To enter the prize competition, Mastercard cardholders must do the following during the Promotional Period:
    • Login to their Instagram account
    • Like the promotional post for Taste Club posted by GastroGays and Mastercard Ireland
    • Comment replying to the prompt in caption and by tagging another Instagram account holder
  2. The responsibility of taking the consent for processing of the personal data of the another Instagram account holder tagged in the comment of the entrant, lies with the entrant.
  3. The Promoter monitors responses to this Promotion and if any responses or any previous posts made by an entrant are, or could be regarded as, being disrespectful towards other members of Instagram communities or which contain anything which is likely to or could cause offence or distress will be removed from the Promotion.
  4. An entrant’s use of Instagram is subject to the Terms and Conditions and privacy policy of Instagram, located at: https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870/ and https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy.
  5. Participants’ entries will be deemed invalid if any comment contains offensive, defamatory, malicious, indecent or any other inappropriate content; includes the first name of any individual without their express permission; includes the surname of any individual without their express permission; in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, cause any widespread or serious offense taking into account prevailing community views or standards; contains any content that could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner; includes trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material not owned by the entrant or used without the rights holder’s prior written permission (including famous names, company names etc); contains any images of children; or contains content deemed socially irresponsible.
  6. All entries must conform to Instagram guidelines and terms and conditions.

Prizes and Fulfilment

  1. Entries must be received by 23:59 to 18/01/2024 (“Closing Date”).
  2. One prize will be available to win during the Promotional Period. The prize consists of the following:
    • 2 tickets (2 seats) at Taste Club series’ January event on Thursday 25/01/2024. This event is running from 19:00 to 23:00 at Hakkahan Chinese restaurant, located at 32, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, D07 X504, Ireland.
  3. The prize is as stated and nothing else is included. All other costs and expenses in taking up the prize, including but not limited to, additional spending money as required, shall be borne solely by the winner and their guests.
  4. The prize is date and event specific and cannot be transferred or postponed to a later date. Prize to be taken on Thursday 25 January 2024. Entrants should ensure that they are available during this period in case they are the winner. Failure to be able to attend will result in the prize being forfeited and the Promoter will award the prize to an alternate winner. If an alternate winner cannot be found prior to the event date, the Promoter will dispose of the prize without liability to any winner.
  5. There is no cash or other alternative for the prize in whole or in part except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value at the choosing and discretion of the Promoter.
  6. Winner Selection and Notification: The prize draw will take place on 19/01/2023 by an independent adjudicator who will randomly select the winner.
  7. The winner will receive a direct message via Instagram within 2 DAYS of the Closing Date of the Promotional Period. The winner will have 24 HOURS to accept the prize by following the instructions provided in the winning notification. The winner will need to confirm that they are 18+ ROI resident and Mastercard cardholder and are available on Thursday 25/01/2024; and provide their full name, email address, phone number and county to accept the prize. Failure to do this, or if the winner is ineligible, or rejects the prize, will result in the prize being forfeited and the Promoter may at its absolute discretion award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original winner or dispose of the prize at its discretion without liability to the winner. The process will be repeated until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize or until Tuesday 23/01/2024. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their Instagram connections during this time in case they are the winner.
  8. Mastercard’s agency The Big Group Limited will contact the winner to commence fulfilment of their prize after valid claim. A copy of Big Group’s privacy notice can be found here: https://www.biggroup.co.uk/privacy.

  10. Name of the winner will be shared with Taste of Dublin for fulfilment of the prize. A copy of Taste of Dublin’s privacy notice can be found here: https://tasteofdublin.ie/privacy-policy/. Other Important Information

  1. The winner and their guest take part in the prize at their own risk and to the fullest extent allowed by law; the Promoter accepts no liability with regard to such prizes whatsoever. The Promoter will have no liability in relation to the conduct of the winners, nor in connection with any circumstances outside its control with respect to the prize once delivered to the winners.
  2. The winner is subject to the policies and terms and conditions of any and all third parties involved in the fulfilment of this prize.     1. General

      1. The Promoter will make available the winner’s surname and county upon request by emailing ireland@priceless.com within 3 months after the Closing Date of this promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any or all such requests. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting ireland@priceless.com. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland if required to do so to indicate that a valid prize award took place.       2. Prize is for personal use only, is non-transferable, and may not be resold, restreamed, republished or used by you for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any resale or attempt to resell, restream or republish the prize by you is strictly prohibited and will be a breach of these terms and, in addition to any other rights or remedies available to us, may result in your experience and/or your Priceless.com account registration being cancelled without prior notice or liability to you.
      3. The Promoter will not be held responsible for the winners not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.
      4. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this prize competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to EUR 1,000.
      5. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and to refuse to award the prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the prize competition or any instructions forming part of this prize competition’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the prize competition or won using fraudulent means.
      6. If for any reason any aspect of this prize competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
      7. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
      8. These Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual issues which arise out of or in connection with them) will be governed by Irish law with any disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Republic of Ireland courts.
      9. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. You acknowledge that the Promoter may pass such information to its third-party agency, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion.
